She said, “I should have registered earlier. But I remain so busy that I didn`t get have time. It was my mistake.”
She said these things in response to a journalist`s question at a press conference organized at her home today at around 11 am.
When asked about not having BMDC registration for 13 years, this prominent gynecologist said, " It`s not like that I don`t have the registration. In fact, I have registration but it`s just not renewed. There is a system in BMDC to pay a fee to renew registration. I didn`t know it was an online system from last year.”
In response to the question why she did not register for BMDC for a long time. "They (hospital authorities) used to handle the registration matters when I was working as the head of the department at Mansur Ali Medical College," said Sangjukta. They used to renew the documents. After coming here (Central Hospital) it didn`t happen anymore.”
Dr. Sangjukta in response to another question from journalists said, "I don`t want to create confusion by talking too much in the media. Millions of our people are already confused. In fact, I am getting mentally ill. Different media is portraying different things in various ways which is intolerable. It is not even possible for me to speak now.”
